Create An Email Id With Our Own Domain Name

Using an email address hosted on your domain creates a sense of professionalism.

If you have a business, having an email address hosted on your own domain sends the message to recipients that you are professional and legitimate. Even if you just have a personal website or blog, having your email address hosted on your domain makes your email address unique, as well as allowing you to subtly promote your site each time you send an email.

Instructions

1. Type "cpanel." followed by your domain name in the address bar of your browser and hit enter to access your website's control panel. On the login page, type in your username and password, and click "Login."

2. Click the icon labeled "Email Accounts" under the heading "Mail" on the home page of your control panel.

3. Look for the form to create a new email account at the top of the page. Type in what you would like your email address to be in the text box provided, and from the drop down menu beside, select whether you want the domain name section of the email to be the main domain, or a subdomain.

4. Type in your desired password for the email address in the text box labeled "Password." Retype the password in the text box labeled "Password (again)" to confirm the password.

5. Select whether or not you want the email address mailbox to have a quota, which would limit how much space on the server the mailbox is allowed. If you wish to have a quota on the mailbox, type allowed amount of megabytes numerically into the text box provided.

6. Click "Create Account." The newly created account will show up in the list of email accounts below. Check the account by clicking the "More" button beside the email address to get a drop down menu. Click "Access Webmail" and select the service you want to use to check the email account. To have the emails that are sent to your new email address forwarded to your usual email account, click the icon labeled "Forwarding Options." Click "Add Forwarder", type in your usual email address, and click "Add Forwarder."
