Create A Vector Drawing In Word 2007

Microsoft Word 2007 has vector graphic drawing tools that can be used to enhance a document. These drawing tools include shapes, lines, points and geometric figures. The shapes gallery has seven categories which include basic shapes, block arrows and stars and banners. Each category has several drawing objects to choose from and you can keep track of the shapes that have been used with the "Recently Used Shapes" category.

Instructions

1. Click the "Office" Button. Scroll down the drop-down menu and click on the "New" document icon. A blank page is displayed.

2. Click the "Insert" tab in the "Office" ribbon.

3. Select the "Shapes" box in the "Illustrations" group. Scroll down the drop-down menu and click on "New Drawing Canvas." A framed drawing canvas is displayed with the document.

4. Click on the "Format" tab in the "Office" ribbon.

5. Click on the down arrow in the "Insert Shapes" box.

6. Scroll down the drop-down menu and click on "Scribble," "Freeform," or "Line" under the "Lines" heading. The cursor is displayed as an "X."
