Mobiles phones aren't just for making phone calls anymore. They have become as much a fashion accessory as they are a useful device. Because some mobile devices can cost upward of $500 or more, it is important to keep it from getting scratched. Creating your own personalized skins for mobile phones is easy.
Instructions
1. Find a service that allows you to create skins. Examples include UniqueSkins.com, MyTego.com and SkinIt.com. As of 2010 all of them offer skins priced between $15 and $30.
2. Go to UniqueSkins.com. This site will allow you to make customized skins for most makes and models of cell phones. You can choose from their designs or upload your own photos or designs and create your own. You can make not only plain vinyl skins, but also skins made from gel and others that have a scratch-resistant coating.
3. Go to MyTego.com. This site is more basic and offers only vinyl skins. In addition to mobile phones, you can design skins for laptops, netbooks, PS3 and MP3 players.
4. Go to Skinit.com. This site has the widest variety of ready-made skins and also allows you to create your own. You can not only purchase and design your own vinyl skins, but also buy clear protective casings here.
