Using Adobe Photoshop, you will be able to create vibrant graffiti cartoons. Use your imagination and creativity to draw interesting and colorful images. Add these images to your canvas and make them stand out by creating additional foreground and background layers.
Instructions
1. Open Abobe Photoshop and create a new file. After opening the new file, select the dimensions of the file from the menu provided. If you're unsure about these settings, use the preset settings provided. You can always change the size of the file after your artwork is completed.
2. Create a colored foreground that will enhance your graffiti artwork. Press "Ctrl+A." Then press "Alt+Backspace." This will allow you to choose a base color that you can blend and alter to create a suitable foreground color. Press "Ctrl+D" when you're done.
3. After selecting a base color, right click on "bg" layer. This can be found on the menu to your right. Click on "blending options" and then "gradient overlay." A new menu will appear. This menu allows you to alter the background color, create shadows and shading so you can create a unique combination of colors.
4. Use the text tool to create words and shapes. There are a variety of fonts to choose from, so be as creative as you like. After choosing a font, click "blending options." Click "color overlay." Choose the same color combination you chose for the foreground.
5. Use the pen tool to highlight the text to create a small background that contrasts with the foreground. To do so, draw a line around the text or shapes you've created. Make sure this line follows the natural curves of the letters. Press "Ctrl+Shift+N" to create a new layer. Click on "Make selection." All settings should read "0." Press "Alt+Backspace." This will create a background layer that surrounds the text.
6. Click on this layer to display the menu. Click on "blending options." Click "color overlay." Choose a background color that's slightly lighter than the foreground color and font color. This will help your artwork stand out.
