Cap Bottles

Beer's crisp carbonation can sometimes work against the home-brewer.

It can and does happen. It's every home-brewer's worst nightmare. Bottles that aren't properly sealed explode from the top and spray beer everywhere. A huge mess is made. Gallons of fine ale are wasted -- and all because bottles were not properly capped. This should never happen. A bottle capper is an affordable and easy-to-use device. With very little effort, your carpet will not be stained and your delicious brew will never be wasted -- and your hard work will be worthwhile.

Instructions

1. Fill your beer bottles with your recently fermented home-brew.

2. Place your clean and sanitary bottles on a large work surface, such as a table or counter.

3. Arrange your bottles so they're about 1 foot apart.

4. Bring 1 cup of water to boil in a small pot. Place bottle caps in the boiling water. Turn off your burner and let the caps sit for one minute.

5. Strain caps and place on a sanitary surface.

6. Place the cap topside up in the capper. The magnet will hold it in place.

7. Place the capper over the lip of your bottle and press both sides of the capper down. It will crimp the top of the cap on the bottle. Repeat for your other bottles.
