Check A Dac Report

In can take 10 days to two weeks to get a DAC report.


DAC stands for Drive-A-Check. A DAC report is a file that includes truck drivers’ employment history. Information such as previous employers, reason for leaving previous jobs, job-related accidents and other information is included in a DAC report for drivers. It is important for truck drivers to check their DAC report periodically, and they are allowed one free copy per year. Additional copies are $9.50.


Instructions


1. Make copies of your Social Security card and drivers license.


2. Send a request to the U.S. Investigation Services (USIS) asking for a copy of your DAC report for drivers. Include the copies you made in Step 1.

3. Your DAC report should arrive in 10 days to two weeks.


4. In addition to checking your DAC, many potential employers check credit reports and perform criminal background checks during employment background screening. It's a good idea to know what's in your history and check these items in addition to your DAC report for drivers.
