Apply Rhinestones To A Wine Glass

Rhinestones add style to glass surfaces.

Rhinestones are a common craft store product used for crafts and decorations. The stones come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors, and all of the stones have a flat back. The flat back makes it possible to apply the stones to most surfaces with an adhesive. Applying rhinestones to a wine glass requires a clear adhesive that dries quickly and does not smear or smudge the glass. Applying the stones to the glass is easy, but the design takes time and planning.

Instructions

1. Clean the glass surface with a soft towel to remove dirt and dust from the surface. Create the design on the wine glass before applying the rhinestones. Use a dry erase pen to make small dots for each rhinestone replacement.

2. Remove the dot for the intended rhinestone position with a cotton swab. Grab the rhinestone with a pair of tweezers and apply a small drop of E6000 craft glue to the flat back.

3. Push the rhinestone against the glass in the intended position. Add a small amount of pressure to ensure the stone is pressed to the surface.

4. Wipe any visible glue off the glass with the cotton swab. Applying a small amount of glue to the center of rhinestone back prevents the glue from smearing on the glass.

5. Repeat the process on another dot in the design. Continue replacing the dots with rhinestones until the design is finished. Leave the glass on a table for a full day to give the glue time to dry.
