Convert JPEG to EPS simply with Adobe Photoshop.
Joint Photographic Experts Group, or JPEG (.jpeg, .jpg), files are graphic files commonly produced by digital cameras and other photographic equipment and software. Vector files store image data as mathematical formulas. High-end graphics editing programs enable the user to convert JPEG (.jpg) files into other file types, including vector file types such as the PostScript and Encapsulated PostScript (.eps) formats. Adobe Photoshop, the industry standard for graphics design, will convert JPEG files to the EPS format with just a few mouse clicks.
Instructions
1. Open the Adobe Photoshop application and click "File" from the top navigation bar.
2. Click the "Open" option. A file navigator will appear.
3. Navigate to and click on the JPEG file to convert. Click the "OK" button to load the JPEG graphic into the Photoshop interface.
4. Click the "File" option from the top navigation bar, and then select the "Save As" option.
5. Click the drop-down box labeled "Format" and select "Photoshop EPS (*.EPS)" from the list.
6. Type a new name for the EPS file, if desired, in the "File Name" input box.
7. Click the "Save" button to convert and save the JPEG in the EPS format.
8. Test the EPS document by viewing in a compatible viewer.
