Creating an email ID is a simple way to get connected to the world.
Today's world is connected in almost every way, and one of the most common is through the use of email. Signing up for an email ID using one of the many major account providers (such as Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail) is done simply and quickly, and will allow you to send messages to friends and colleagues nearly instantly. No matter what account provider you choose, however, there are several general rules to keep in mind when creating an email ID.
Instructions
1. Create a user name that will end in @hotmail.com, @yahoo.com, @gmail.com or whatever account provider you have chosen. If the user name you want is already in use, it will be rejected, and you will have to select a different one.
2. Choose a user name that is easy for you to remember, but not simple enough to be easily guessed by someone else. A combination of words and numbers is simplest. It is important to stay away from inappropriate language or overly personal choices when selecting a user name.
3. Select a password. As with the user name, this information should be easy for you to remember, but not easily guessed by individuals wishing to gain access to the account.
4. Fill in your personal information to register for the email ID you have chosen. This includes your first and last name, the city and country you live in, your gender and birth year. Specific personal or financial information is not required, so be suspicious of any provider asking for such information.
