Create An Email Id On Yahoo

Check your Yahoo email right from your phone.

Yahoo! email has a host of features that go beyond sending and receiving email. An integrated chat function allows you to communicate with other Yahoo! users right from your email messages window. You can also access Web apps such as Flickr and PayPal without leaving your inbox. Send 25 MB email attachments and drag photos from your desktop directly into your messages. The service is free, and it takes minutes to sign up.

Instructions

1. Visit the Yahoo! link listed in Resources. Click "Mail" and then "Create New Account."

2. Click "Mail" and then "Create New Account." An account setup page will open.

3. Enter you name, gender, birthday, country and postal code in the text boxes provided.

4. Enter an ID in the text box labeled, "Yahoo! ID and Email." Click "Check" to see if the ID is available. If it is not available, enter a new ID.

5. Enter a password for your new account. Choose a password that would be difficult for others to guess.

6. Enter an alternate email address if you like. This step is optional. Yahoo! will send an email to this ID if you ever forget your Yahoo! ID. At the bottom of the screen you will see an image containing letters.

7. Click the drop down arrow next to "Secret Question 1." You will see a list of questions. Select a question and provide an answer in the box below the question. Select the drop down arrow next to "Secret Question 2" and repeat the process. If you ever forget your Yahoo! password, you can answer one of the questions to reset your password.

8. Type the letters that you see into the box labeled "Type the code shown." This procedure verifies that you are a human and not automated software attempting to sign up.

9. Click "Create My Account." Yahoo! will create your new account and send a welcome message to your inbox.
