Animated icons are icons that feature animation such as flashing through different images or sparkling. They are also referred to as gif images. Traditionally, if you wanted to create an animated icon, you would have to possess expensive and complicated animation software, but now, thanks to the Internet, plenty of animated icon generators exist online that can be used completely free of charge.
Instructions
1. Navigate to MyTheme.com. This websites allows you to make your own animated icons online by uploading up to four images to flash as your animated icon. It lets you select how fast you want your animation speed to be as well as if you want the white space around any of the images trimmed. In addition, you can select a border color for you animated icon if you want one, and if you don’t you can leave the border option set to "No Border."
2. Navigate to Gickr.com. This online animated icon generator allows you to add up to 10 images to flash as your animated icon. It also allows you to set the speed of your animated icon, and it allows you to choose the size of it as well. If you don’t like any of the standard sizes, you can click on "Custom" and input the values (in pixels) that you would like your animated icon to be.
3. Navigate to MakeaGif.com. This website allows you to upload up to 12 images to serve as your animated icon, and it offers you a variety of options with which to customize your animated icon. The basic options include the option to loop the animation, set the speed of the animation and resize the icon for an AIM buddy icon. If you click on "Switch to Advanced Options," you can specify the frame length (in milliseconds) and choose to resize the image to the biggest or smallest sizes or to not resize it all. You can also input custom size values (in pixels) into the provided text boxes if you wish.
