Sneakers To A Cartoon Character

So you've drawn your cartoon character and it's time to add some sneakers to his feet. Have no fear: eHow is here. With pen in hand, you can follow these few simple steps to create appropriate sneakers for your cartoon character.

Instructions

1. Make an outline in the shape of shoes at the bottom of your character's feet. These shoes can be any shape you wish, for it is the details you add that will turn them into sneakers.

2. Draw a horizontal line near the bottom of the shoe shape. This will be for the soles of the sneakers of your cartoon character. Add vertical likes all along the soles of the sneakers to create the treads for your cartoon character's sneakers.

3. Add dashed lines near the tops of the show shapes to create the laces for your cartoon character's sneakers. Draw bows any size you desire to complete the effect.

4. Create logos or designs for the sneakers of your cartoon character. They're your sneakers, so you can be as creative as you like. Have dolphins, unicorns, simple circles or even borrow Nike's swoosh.

5. Scuff the sneakers of your cartoon character if you wish to add age to the sneakers. A few squiggly lines will do. For dirt, add darkened spots.

6. Allow your imagination to decorate and detail the sneakers of your cartoon character as you wish. As your character inhabits a cartoon world, the laws of our world don't necessarily dictate his/hers.
